WHAT IS HOME ECONOMICS (HE)?

Home economics (HE)strand focuses on livinglihood project as caregiving,cookery,bartending,handicraft making,tourism, housekeeping and so on.This strand will greatly help students finds jobs immediately.

Home economics has mostly been about learning how to deal with the problems and challenges of homemaking.

Home Economics offers a range of exciting career options related to foods, nutrition, housing and clothing. home economics can be involved in:

*food, nutrition and catering
*clothing and clothing construction
*interior planning, design and decorating
*management of resources
*family interaction
*consumer behaviour and promotion of products
research
*teaching and training.

HERES OUR EXPERIENCE AS HOME ECONOMICS

1.SOLON ALICIA

I can say that my experience as a Home economics student was a blessing because it was here that I got to know myself well. I had new friends and a family.
I also learned in this strand how to be disciplined.

2.LACUNA BEJHAY

my exprience in this strand can be said to be happy because everyone has unity and love. I am learning new knowledge that I can use in my future.

3.COYOCA Roseann

my experience in our strand first because here I have a second family and friends because of them my confidence in myself is increasing because each one of us helps each other so I don’t regret that this is what I chose.

Here are some possible jobs you can get when you become a home economics student. You can be a chef,Fashion designer,Baker,barista, nutritionist,and dietitian.
